To make this icing you will need:
- 1 lb. POWDERED SUGAR
- 3 Tbs MERINGUE POWDER
- 6 Tbs WATER, warm
- 1 Tbs VANILLA EXTRACT (or any other oil-free extract)
Add the flavor extract to the warm water and then slowly whisk that mixture to the dry ingredients. (The mixture will be pretty liquid-y.)
Continue whisking the mixture for 7-10 minutes, or until stiff peaks form.
This recipe makes A LOT of icing!!! You may want to half or even quarter this recipe!
Then add your food coloring!
And start piping!
Royal Icing
Ingredients:
