Royal icing can be used to decorate all kinds of beautiful creations!

To make this icing you will need:
  • 1 lb. POWDERED SUGAR
  • 3 Tbs MERINGUE POWDER
  • 6 Tbs WATER, warm
  • 1 Tbs VANILLA EXTRACT (or any other oil-free extract)
Using an electric mixerwhisk together the powdered sugar and meringue powder.

Add the flavor extract to the warm water and then slowly whisk that mixture to the dry ingredients. (The mixture will be pretty liquid-y.)

Continue whisking the mixture for 7-10 minutes, or until stiff peaks form.

This recipe makes A LOT of icing!!! You may want to half or even quarter this recipe!
